A bedtime story about charts

The Candle Story

The CRT trading system, told so simply a baby could nod along. Twelve little pages. One big idea: the market plays pranks — and you can learn to spot them.

Every big move is a three-part story

z z z
1 · Nap
2 · Trick
3 · Run

Candle 1 naps — the big players quietly fill their bags. Candle 2 tricks — the market plays a prank to scare everyone. Candle 3 runs — the real move happens. You only ever trade the run.

Grown-up words: Accumulation → Manipulation → Distribution (AMD / Power of 3)

Yesterday's candle draws a fence

fence top · old high
fence bottom · old low

The last big candle's top and bottom make a fence. Today, price plays inside it. The whole game is watching what happens when price touches the fence.

Grown-up words: the CRT range = previous H4 / Daily candle's high & low

The prank: a peek over the fence

fence top
just the head pokes out… then back in!

Price jumps over the fence… then quickly climbs back inside. It was a prank. The big kids pushed it over the fence just to grab all the snacks (orders) waiting on the other side.

Grown-up words: liquidity sweep / Turtle Soup — stops above old highs get raided
Page 4

The magic signal: back inside, all done

fence top
finished inside!

Never move while the prank is happening. Wait for a candle to finish back inside the fence. A finished candle is the starting gun. Kids who jump early get pranked. Kids who wait get paid.

Grown-up words: Model #1 — enter on the close back inside; stop beyond the wick

Pranks only count at trampolines

boing!

Some old spots are trampolines — places where price bounced before: yesterday's high and low, last week's high and low. A prank at a trampoline means something. A prank in the middle of nowhere? Ignore it.

Grown-up words: key levels — PDH / PDL / PWH / PWL. No level, no trade.

The two best friends test

Gold · new high! ✓
Silver · refused ✗

Gold and Silver hold hands everywhere they go. If Gold jumps the fence but Silver refuses to jump too — Gold's jump was a lie. When the friends disagree, believe the one who stayed home.

Grown-up words: SMT divergence — XAUUSD vs XAGUSD, EURUSD vs DXY
Page 7

The pizza rule

When your trade travels halfway across the fence — eat a slice! Take half the profit and move your seatbelt to safety. If price keeps going: whole pizza, yay. If it turns around: you already ate. Never cry about only getting one slice.

Grown-up words: 50% rule — TP1 at half the range, SL to breakeven, TP2 at far side
Page 8

The last "BOO!" before the finish line

fence bottom
a scary wick… but it didn't finish outside

Right before your target, the market loves one final scare — a big scary candle the wrong way. If it doesn't finish outside the fence, it's just a boo. Don't drop your ice cream.

Grown-up words: Kiss of Death (KOD) — the last turtle soup before target

Swim with the river

〜〜〜 ↗

Look at the big river first — the weekly and daily chart. River flows up? Only buy. River flows down? Only sell. Swimming against the river just makes you tired, and the river always wins.

Grown-up words: HTF bias — trade only in the higher-timeframe trend direction

Playground safety rules

🪢Seatbelt, always

Every ride gets a stop loss, placed just past the prank's wick. No seatbelt, no ride.

🪙Two coins only

If you have 100 coins, risk only 1–2 per game. You can lose many games and still play tomorrow.

🕐Busy hours only

Play when the playground is full — London and New York time. Empty playgrounds play tricks.

📔Diary every night

Write down each game: Catch, Miss, Avoid, Repeat. The diary is how you grow up.

Grown-up words: risk management — 1–2% risk, SL beyond sweep, kill zones, journaling
The last page

The whole story in one breath

1Find the fence
2Prank at a trampoline
3Friends agree
4Candle finishes inside
5Ride with the river
6Slice at halfway
7Finish at the far fence

And one last secret from the book: bamboo grows underground for four years — then shoots up ninety feet in six weeks. Your practice is the underground part. Keep watering it.
